Hi, I’m Iram, and I want to share a piece of my story with you—a story shaped by challenges, hope, and above all, the resolve to keep moving forward.
Growing up in a developing country, I was surrounded by traditions and norms that often felt like they could not be changed. I remember feeling trapped and wishing for something different—a life where I could breathe freely; free from an abusive marriage, where I was deemed worthless, free to earn a living, free to build the life I dreamed off.
When faced with a life-threatening diagnosis, given just 6 to 8 months to live, 26 years ago, I came to a crossroads: either choose to truly live or resign myself to die. That was when I set my first transformative goal: to seize control of my life and shape it according to my own vision. I drew courage from my unwavering belief that every individual has the fundamental right to pursue a life filled with happiness and harmony.
Through my struggles I realized that I needed to find a new place where I could be myself. That dream did not come without pain, but pain became part of the progress—each setback marked a step forward, not just away from my past but towards my true self.
As I built my life and career, I faced numerous challenges—from gender bias and wage disparities to uncomfortable situations at work. I navigated these experiences on my terms, even when it felt incredibly isolating and painful. Confronting such obstacles is tough, but for me, giving up was never an option. I chose to persevere, knowing that my goals mattered deeply to me and that my determination and resilience were essential in overcoming adversity.
I yearned for something deeper and believed in creating something meaningful. I believe that everyone’s aspirations hold significance for them, so I made choices with sacrifices but aligned them with following my heart. After 25 years in the corporate world, I made a conscious decision to pivot and leave it behind to work with incredible individuals who want to achieve their goals and dreams, prioritizing their happiness and well-being.
I am a regular person, just like you. The essence of my story has remained consistent… I refuse to back down or give up.
