My name is Lynnita Brabson, and I\u2019m here to share both my work and my life to help others navigate one of life\u2019s most important chapters\u2014retirement.

As a U.S. military veteran, I bring the same sense of discipline, service, and dedication that guided me in uniform to my mission today: helping retirees and their loved ones understand how to use financial tools and housing options to their advantage\u2014creating stability, independence, and peace of mind.

My understanding of \u201chome\u201d started early. Growing up as a military child and experiencing my parents\u2019 divorce, I learned how important stability, peace, and having a place to call your own truly are. Like many, I was a latchkey kid with a hardworking mother\u2014but our home was always filled with love. Those early experiences shaped the heart behind everything I do today.

That discovery led me into the reverse mortgage industry, and that decision changed everything. What began as a career quickly became a calling\u2014to help older homeowners live better, more secure lives. With over a decade of experience in reverse mortgage counseling and senior-focused financial education, I\u2019ve seen firsthand how the right knowledge can transform lives. When people are educated and informed, they can protect their homes, plan confidently for the future, and
make choices rooted in truth rather than fear.<\/p>

Along the way, I was blessed to share this mission with my family. I trained and helped my mother become a certified housing counselor, allowing us to work side by side in serving seniors and families across the country. Together, we\u2019ve empowered countless homeowners through education, compassion, guidance, and trust.<\/p>

Motherhood deepened my understanding of sacrifice, patience, and unconditional love\u2014values that guide every aspect of my work today. The desire to uplift and support others has guided me throughout my life and eventually evolved into creating educational tools that empower seniors to make wise financial decisions. That passion inspired me to write My Home, My Retirement\u2014a book dedicated to helping homeowners clearly understand reverse mortgages, home equity, and how to maintain financial stability in retirement.<\/p>
